Coimbatore: The District Collector, K Rajamani flagged off an awareness rally on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) and the Coimbatore District Employment Office, as part of a training program being held.
Coimbatore: The District Collector, K Rajamani flagged off an awareness rally on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation (TNSDC) and the Coimbatore District Employment Office, as part of a training program being held.
The rally commenced from the District Collector's Office in the city and culminated at the VOC grounds. The training program includes training in various fields like automobile, construction, media and textile industry.
Over 300 students marched with balloons and awareness banners alongside the Coimbatore District Employment Commissioner Lata and Deputy Commissioner Gayathri.
The TNSDC was formed with a vision to transform the State into a skill hub by providing skill training to the youth and enhancing their employability to match the expectations of the industry. Since 2013, TNSDC has been functioning as a Corporation under the Labour and Employment Department. TNSDC has been declared as the State Nodal Agency for Skill Development by the Government.
