Coimbatore: Kovai Kulangal Padhukaapu Amaippu, an NGO that cleans water bodies in Coimbatore initiated a meeting to discuss measures to revive the Kadathur Pond in Kattampatti, owing to the fact that 120 acres of the area had dried up over the last three decades in Annur, Coimbatore.
Coimbatore: Kovai Kulangal Padhukaapu Amaippu, an NGO that cleans water bodies in Coimbatore initiated a meeting to discuss measures to revive the Kadathur Pond in Kattampatti, owing to the fact that 120 acres of the area had dried up over the last three decades in Annur, Coimbatore.
The meeting was held on Sunday, from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Following the meeting, the waterways were inspected and the immediate steps to be taken next were discussed. A meeting with JCB owners were also held during the week to ascertain how JCBs could help in restoration of waterways. Volunteers and JCB owners visited the waterways right from the Kattampatti pond to Kalangal, after which JCB-related work was discussed.
