The Nilgiris: In the Thorapalli area of Gudalur, a wild elephant attacked a jeep carrying milk this morning, causing the vehicle to topple upside down.
Of late, the Nilgiri district is witnessing an increased number of elephant and other wild animals movement and attacks. A jeep carrying milk was on its way between two fields when a wild elephant which came that way attacked the vehicle in rage, causing the jeep to topple upside down.
Following the sound of screaming by the jeep Driver Raja, the people rushed and saved him. The public requested the Forest dept to chase away the wild elephants that constantly scares them.
