The farmers complained that even women have been harassed and arrested by the police when they oppose laying of HT lines at the best of officials.

The Member of Parliament who heard their grievances promised to take up the issue, afflicting farmers’ livelihood with the District Collector.

President of Tamil Nadu Vivasayigal Sangam, V.P. Elangovan, Secretary Secretary, V.R.Palanisamy and representatives from other farmer associations took part in the meeting.
