Coimbatore: The police have arrested nine suspects in connection with the Pollachi minor girl rape case.
The minor rape has triggered an uproar in Pollachi, as the town is yet to recover from the major sex scandal involving hundreds of young girls and women.
The arrested have been identified as Amanullah (25), Bhagavathy (26), Mohammed Ali (28), Senthil Kumar alias David (30), Mohammed Rafiq(28), Arun Nehru (28), Syed Mohammed (25), Irshad Basha (28) and Mohammed Khan (44).
Police are on the look out for one more suspect who is alleged to have escaped.
