Coimbatore: In the tripartite talks held in Madurai between stakeholders, a revision of basic pay and other benefits have been announced for the National Textile Corporation (NTC) permanent workers.
Coimbatore: In the tripartite talks held in Madurai between stakeholders, a revision of basic pay and other benefits have been announced for the National Textile Corporation (NTC) permanent workers.
As many as 3000 permanent employees are working in the five NTC mills across Tamil Nadu. As per the revised pay package, Rs.400 has been hiked on the basic pay component and added to that is the hike in house rent allowance to Rs.610 from the earlier Rs.400.
The LTC has also been hiked to Rs.6 per day. Other benefits such as pay arrears are to be settled within 30 days, as per the agreement arrived at the talks. The employees will get Rs.1,700 pay hike due to new revision of pay which would be in effect for the next five years.
Representatives of Labour Unions including INTUC, NTLF, the Central Labour Commissioner P Sivaraman, the NTC General Manager Sudhakaran and other officials participated the meeting.
