Over 500 families from Therku Thottam complained that they had been getting regular supply of drinking water due to a block in the drinking water pipe in their area. In spite of repeated complaints, they alleged that the Corporation authorities had failed to initiate any action.
This irked the residents who laid siege to the Corporation office with empty pots, demanding to repair the block in the drinking water pipe in their area, immediately. The incident caused a furore in the area.
