At the Chennai High Court, a bench consisting of the High Court Judge, retired District Judge and a member of the Commission will review cases. In the People's Court, pending cases regarding road accident compensation, writ petition on current bills, house tax, pensions, divorce cases, alimony, land disputes, labourer welfare and compensation and various other cases will be heard and arrived at a conclusion, quickly.
With regard to compensation cases, the Lok Adalat will facilitate both parties to amicably discuss the compensation. Those who wish to participate in the Lok Adalat proceedings, be it the petitioner or his lawyer, can contact the Secretary at the High Court Division or the National Law Commission before July 8.
