Tirupur hotel owner commits suicide, blames kin in suicide note

The note stated that they had tricked him of Rs.9 lakhs, Relatives of the deceased hotel owner laid siege to the Tirupur police station demanding that immediate action be taken against the duo to have them arrested. 



Deva Prakash, a resident of Valipalayam, Tirupur runs a hotel business. His wife is Nithya Devi and the couple had two children Madhuvarsha (7) and Harini (8). It is reported that Deva Prakash had borrowed a sum of Rs. 9 lakhs and helped his Aunt Selvi and Uncle Suresh who had told him that they were starting a new business. The duo did not return the money even after many months, though Deva Prakash continued to pay the interest for the borrowed sum of money.

When Deva Prakash again approached the couple asking them to return the money, it is alleged that they had not only responded inappropriately but also carelessly brushed aside the request. Deva Prakash who realized then that he had been tricked, committed suicide by hanging himself and leaving behind a suicide note accusing the couple as the reason for his death. 

Angered by the tragic turn of events, relatives of Deva Prakash laid siege to the Tirupur North police station and protested that they would not claim Deva Prakash's mortal remains until Selvi and Suresh were arrested.
