Coimbatore : Following public outrage and complaint filed by the parents of the three boys who drowned and died on Tuesday in a quarry pond located inside ACC Cement factory in Madukkarai, the Police have initiated action.
Coimbatore : Following public outrage and complaint filed by the parents of the three boys who drowned and died on Tuesday in a quarry pond located inside ACC Cement factory in Madukkarai, the Police have initiated action.
Upon orders from SP Sujit Kumar, Sub Inspector of Madukkarai station Muthukumar filed case against ACC company under 304(ii) IPC. Deputy SP Balamurugan (Perur) is investigating the case.
The parents have demanded legal action against ACC Cement factory for not appointing security guards around the pond. They also alleged that the company did not place any warning signs near the quarry pond which killed three young boys.
About Section 304 (A)
"Section 304 (A) states that whoever causes the death of any person by doing any rash or negligent act not amounting to culpable homicide, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years, or with fine, or both.”
