Coimbatore : Applications for a temporary cracker licence for those who wish to set up shops in the Coimbatore jurisdiction during Diwali, which falls on 27 October 2019, will be issued from July 3. Those interested have been asked to fill in the application form and submit at the office of the Commissioner of Police before July 31.

Those interested have been asked to fill in the application form and submit at the office of the Commissioner of Police before July 31.
Appropriate documents along with duly-filled in applications should be submitted and thereafter the Police Department will inspect the proposed place for safety inspection and then issue the temporary licence. As per the instruction of the Department of Explosives, roadside shops will not be entertained. Only applications submitted with complete documents within the due date will be considered. There will be no extension of the deadline for submission.
