According to the delegation, the meeting was a very productive one with A Raja expressing his spontaneous willingness to take up the concerns with the concerned officials at the Centre. A Raja also assured the delegation that he would expedite their request to enhance the upgradation of infrastructure, especially with regard to Road, Rail and Air connectivity to facilitate seamless movement of people and cargo, which will ensure the region would be on a fast track growth.

The Western part of Tamil Nadu which had been neglected on all these fronts was one reason for the Kongu Global Forum to be formed by business leaders of the seven districts of Western Tamil Nadu - Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Namakkal, Salem, Karur and the Nilgiris. The Forum was meant to lobby for developmental projects in this region. KGF Trustees have also requested for a meeting of the MPs of the 7 districts of the Kongu Region after the Parliamentary session, to draw up a development agenda for which A Raja has consented his participation.
