Puducherry CM condemns Gov. Kiran Bedi for derogatory remarks on TN politicians

Coimbatore: The Lieutenant Governor, Kiran Bedi is once again in the eye of a storm in Puducherry for her opinion on the Chennai water crisis which she felt was due to the corrupt politicians and people of Tamil Nadu.

Coimbatore: The Lieutenant Governor, Kiran Bedi is once again in the eye of a storm in Puducherry for her opinion on the Chennai water crisis which she felt was due to the corrupt politicians and people of Tamil Nadu.

This enraged several leaders in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, with Chief Minister V Narayanasamy stating that the DMK Chief, M K Stalin would be raising this issue in Parliament.

CM V Narayanasamy stated that drought conditions were prevailing not only in Tamil Nadu but also in other states like Maharashtra, UP, Telengana, Andhra and Karnataka. He said the water scarcity in Tamil Nadu was due to the absence of monsoons and water drying up in the Krishna river. The Puducherry CM slammed Kiran Bedi saying that she had no right or business to comment on politicians in Tamil Nadu, but by doing so, she was only tarnishing her own image.

When DMK leaders raised the issue in Parliament, the Speaker reportedly had taken it off the records by mistake which has angered TN politicians even further. The Puducherry CM accused Kiran Bedi of suffering from a disease of speaking unnecessarily just to grab attention and that she did not deserve to be a Lieutenant Governor. He also alleged that the Centre has sent Kiran Bedi to Puducherry just to cause trouble to the Congress government. CM V Narayanasamy further added that the issue with Kiran Bedi will be raised in the Parliament.
