"The TNSTC bus TN 38 N 1419 from Pollachi 3 division was enroute from body shop workshop to the disposal unit in Mettupalayam. No passengers were present in the bus", said the Director of TNSTC, Coimbatore division.
He reiterated that based on the video news channels had portrayed the news wrongly.
The video was released by a motorist who claimed to have shot the video of the bus on Palladam road.
Even after an official explanation from TNSTC, public opine that "Even if no passengers travelled in the bus, still operating a damaged bus in four wheels on a busy road flooded with vehicles, pose a serious threat to the motorists."
