Coimbatore : In a new twist in the ongoing Pollachi sex scandal, the CBI on Monday raided the residence of Thirunavukarasu for the second time.
Thirunavukarasu, Sabari Rajan, Sathish, Vasanth Kumar and Manivannan were arrested in connection with the case in which more than 50 women were allegedly lured and sexually harassed by the gang who even recorded the act and blackmailed them for money.
On April 27, the CBI which took over the case from CB-CID, registered two cases and commenced their investigation.The CBI raided the residences and farm houses of the accused in Pollachi and surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, the CBI raided the residence of Thirunavukarasu, the prime accused of the case for the second time today. The officials held an inquiry with Kanagaraj, his father at his residence in Makkinampatti, Pollachi.
Earlier, all five accused were lodged in Coimbatore central prison but later owing to security reasons, they were shifted to Salem prison.
Today's raid by CBI has triggered speculation among the public, who suspect that the CBI could have seized some promising evidence from his residence.
