Coimbatore : The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity along with The Eye Foundation of Coimbatore inaugurated an Eye Camp at the Marudamalai Devasthanam School.
Coimbatore : The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity along with The Eye Foundation of Coimbatore inaugurated an Eye Camp at the Marudamalai Devasthanam School.
The CEO of The Eye Foundation, Madhav Aryan, the GM Krishnakumar along with the Rotary President Kamal Kumar and Secretary Vairavan inaugurated the Eye Camp by inviting the Higher Secondary School students for eye-screening. The camp is to be held for two days, July 1 and 2 and will provide free screening for 1500 students and parents.
The Head Mistress of the school, Selvakumari said, "This camp was very much needed for the students since even good students were struggling to read and write due to their unidentified medical conditions. But after this eye camp and proper follow-ups which will also be provided free of cost to students by Rotary Texcity, they can continue to study without any eye issues."
Rajalakshmi Nethralaya, the charity arm of The Eye Foundation and Rotary Club of Coimbatore Texcity are joining hands to serve the community by conducting eye camps in several villages and schools, and also perform cataract surgeries free of cost on a continual long-term basis.
