Tirupur: Ashes arising from a private compacting company has posed a threat to the health of the public and hence the irate public have petitioned the Tirupur District Collector. They demanded immediate action and urged District authorities to inspect the safety measures of the company.

There are over 100 apartments in the Avarankadu estate area on the Tirupur College road. The private compacting industry near the apartments has not been maintaining its boiler properly in the last few days due to which ashes from the boiler were polluting the residential area.
Residents allege that these ashes fall even on cooked food and drinking water, thus poses a health hazard. The public petitioned the District Administration to intervene and inspect the company's safety regulations and facilities.
