Tirupur: The Traffic Police led by Sub Inspector Sundaramoorthy were checking vehicles on the Tirupur-Avinashi Road at S.A.P junction when they stopped Murali from Chamundipuram and found that he was drunk.
Tirupur: The Traffic Police led by Sub Inspector Sundaramoorthy were checking vehicles on the Tirupur-Avinashi Road at S.A.P junction when they stopped Murali from Chamundipuram and found that he was drunk.
The police registered a case and confiscated Murali's two-wheeler. This infuriated Murali who then argued with the police and got into a tussle with a police official named Ponannan. Both men ended up having their clothes ripped and Ponannan reportedly dragged Murali to the side of the road. A video of the entire tussle is reportedly being circulated on social media and WhatsApp.
Both Ponannan and Murali are being treated at the Government Hospital. The Anuparpalayam police have reached the spot to investigate since the ruckus caused by the men disturbed the public.
