A total of 19,04,000 kg of tea powder was allotted for auction, out of which 12,20,000 kg were of the leaf variety and 6,84,000 kg of the tea dust variety. About 73 percent (13,62,000 kg ) of the tea powder was sold at the auction, totalling to Rs. 11 crores and 89 lakhs.
The varieties of tea powder sold at the auction had a price drop of Rs. 5. CDC had the highest bidder and was auctioned for Rs. 261 per kg, while the orthodox tea powder was auctioned for Rs.235 per kg. The average price for the standard variety of tea leaf ranged from Rs.73 per kg to Rs.78 per kg, while the price for ordinary tea powder ranged from Rs.107 to Rs.120 per kg. The regular tea powder of dust variety ranged from Rs.72 to Rs.77 per kg, and the high-quality tea powder of dust variety ranged from Rs.108 to Rs.118.

The auction for sale no.7 will be held on July 4 and 5. The Tea Trade Association has stated that a total of 21,95,000 kg of tea powder was up for auction.
