Coimbatore : Minister for Municipal Administration and Rural Development and Implementation of Special Programme S.P Velumani on Sunday inaugurated several welfare schemes worth Rs. 94 lakhs in wards 90 and 91 of City Corporation.

New classrooms, toilet and compound walls were built in West Sugunapuram Government Primary School which falls under Ward 90 of South Zone, at a cost of Rs.40.5 lakhs from Corporation public fund.

A community centre and a noon meal centre worth Rs. 8 lakhs and Rs. 10 lakhs from MLA development fund was inaugurated at MGR Nagar of Ward 90.
The Minister also inaugrated a public library in Ammasai Gouder street in Ward 91.
Corporation Commissioner, Shravan Kumar, Deputy Commissioner, Prasanna Ramasamy, City Engineer A.Lakshmanan, South Zone Assistant Commissioner T.R. Ravi, Executive Engineer Gnanavel, officials and public participated in the inauguration.
