Coimbatore: The Grama Sabha meeting that was to be initially held on May 1, marking International Labour Day was postponed due to the election code of conduct being in effect during that period.
Coimbatore: The Grama Sabha meeting that was to be initially held on May 1, marking International Labour Day was postponed due to the election code of conduct being in effect during that period.
The meeting will now be held at 11 am on June 28 at all the Panchayats in Coimbatore district.
Important issues such as drinking water supply, health hazard management, avoiding use of plastics, village development plan, the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, schemes for women, Panchayat accounts and expenditures, as well as other ongoing projects will be discussed at the Gram Sabha meeting. People from rural areas and Panchayats have been called to attend the Grama Sabha meetings to be held in their respective Panchayats.
