Coimbatore: 'Kovai Kutralam' is a much sought-after tourist destination, renowned for its gushing waterfall originating in the Siruvani hill ranges in the Western Ghats.

The Kutralam waterfalls attracts tourists in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, right through the year. But sadly, with Tamil Nadu facing scarcity of the monsoon rains, the Kutralam Falls spot was closed indefinitely.

But with the South-West monsoon active in Kerala and filling up reservoirs there, the Kutralam waterfalls has begun to gush again.

The tourist spot has also been recently spruced up for tourists with construction of concrete platforms for men and women to bathe safely under the Falls and a swimming pool for children. Booluvampatti forest officials assured that the Falls will be soon be open for public viewing.
