Tirupur: The State Secretary of BJP, Vanathi Srinivasan has accused the DMK and allied parties of trying to create an illusion that PM Modi was boycotting Tamil Nadu. She was addressing the media at the BJP's private meeting on its membership drive in Tirupur and slammed the opposition, in defence of the PM.

The BJP has planned a national meeting for its membership drive from July 6 to August 10. A private meeting regarding the same was held at a private marriage hall in Peramanallur in Tirupur district. Vanathi Srinivasan alleged that the DMK and allied parties were trying to create an illusion that because BJP lost in Tamil Nadu, the PM would boycott the TN people. "It is so untrue. PM Modi will always strive for the development of the whole nation. The New Education Policy that was drafted stating the three language formula will not be implemented if people do not want it," she reiterated. "Meanwhile, other parties should also express their opinion about the benefits behind the proposed formula," added the BJP State General Secretary.

Vanathi Srinivasan also noted that the people of TN are facing a tough time awaiting drinking water, for days. "People should understand that maintaining drinking water projects is not only the Government's job, but everyone should take steps to protect the water bodies in the State. Only then a solution can be achieved. In fact, 'Water Management' should be integrated into the school curriculum," she opined.
