Coimbatore: The District Collector, K Rajamani inaugurated a training program organised at the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) exclusively for family surgeons and gynecologists on standardisation and sustainability.

Krishna, the Associate Director for Medical and Rural Work, Asokan, the Principal of CMCH and other government officials took part in the inaugural event.
The District Collector stated that the Tamil Nadu Government has come up with various plans and schemes to provide better quality in its medical treatment and facilities for the people of Tamil Nadu. "We will make sure that the GHs are as luxurious as the private hospitals," he added. He lauded CMCH for excelling in infrastructure, high tech medical equipment, modern operation theatres as well as for providing quality treatment that exceeded expectations.
K Rajamani also appreciated Government hospitals for curing patients who had been given up on by private hospitals due to their inability. He requested doctors to do their duty with commitment and not deny treatment to any patient who approaches them for medical assistance. "Do not keeping track of time and treat patients with utmost concentration, because the medical field is a department where any negligence can prove fatal," he reiterated.
The District Collector also assured that the training program would be beneficial to all doctors who attend the program. He also requested doctors who practise medicine in village and rural areas to educate villagers and residents of rural areas about the high tech treatment facilities provided at CMCH.
