The rally was organised by the Police Department in Nilgiris, with many students and volunteer organisations participating in the rally. They held placards that highlighted the health hazards of substance abuse and the perils of illicit trafficking.
The rally covered important roads across Ooty, including the Botanical Garden and ended at the Tribal Cultural Centre. Students of different schools and colleges visited an exhibition at the Centre that aimed to create awareness against drug abuse. Soon after, students were also shown short films on the importance of wearing helmets and abstaining from drug abuse.
