OYO Silverkey Lodge at Nava India sealed on Collector's orders

Coimbatore: Officials sealed Oyo Silverkey Lodge, a service apartment operating at Nava India because of their controversial advertisement on providing safety for the unmarried.


Coimbatore: Officials sealed OYO Silverkey Lodge, a service apartment operating at Nava India owing to their controversial online advertisement on providing safety for the unmarried. 

Based on the Collector's order, South Taluk Officer Devanathan sealed the OYO Silverkey Lodge. The action was taken against the lodge after the All India Democratic Women Organisation petitioned the District Collector urging immediate action against the OYO company for their controversial advertisement online that stated they would protect bachelors and spinsters. 

The Association felt that the advertisement implied it would support unlawful activities which could perpetrate sexual violence against women.
