Coimbatore: In a shocking accident on Anaikatti Road near Ramakrishna Rural Healthcare centre. Two wheelers rammed head-on, killing one person on the spot today evening.
According to sources from the spot, two youngsters on a two-wheeler suspected to be inebriated rammed on another two wheeler in which a mother and daughter were travelling near Ramkrishna Rural Healthcare centre on Anaikatti Road. The mother died on the spot, while others have sustained injuries.
As there is a TASMAC close to the accident spot, the husband who lost his wife to this accident is staging a protest along with people from the area demanding closure of the TASMAC shop which allegedly caused the accident. Traffic has been affected, as the family is holding a road roko.
The drunk and drive youngsters are also supposed to have sustained severe injuries. Police are on the spot and have moved the injured to the hospital.
