Coimbatore: Members of All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) on Monday submitted a petition against OYO to the District Collector alleging on an advertisement released by the company.

In the petition, the AIDWA stated that the serviced apartments in Peelamedu managed by OYO has released advertisements in several digital mediums promising safe stay for 'unmarried' men and women. "The advertisement could pave way for sexual crimes against young women", they said in the petition.

Hence, they requested the District Collector to order to remove the advertisements. The irked members of AIDWA also warned they would intensify their protest, if no action is initiated.
