Coimbatore : In a tragically shocking incident, a two-year old girl who was reportedly sleeping with her parents inside their home was found in a well nearby, this morning, at Vilankurichi, Coimbatore.
The child's parents Kanagaraj and Kanchana who hail from Kariyakoundanpudur near Annur in Coimbatore, were residing in a rented house on a farm which reportedly belongs to Kuppuraj. Yesterday, the parents and the child went to sleep as usual after dinner, after hosting guests who were also asleep on a cot outside the house. At about 4:30 am this morning, Kanchana was shocked to find her child missing. Both parents frantically searched for the little girl outside their house and in the neighborhood, in the hope that she would be playing.
Unable to find the child around the neighbourhood, they looked into an unused well near Karuvellangadu about 500m away from their home. They were shocked to find the girl in the well and immediately used ropes to rescue the child who they had assumed was unconscious. On rushing her to a private hospital, they were told by the doctors that the child was brought dead.
