The tireless efforts of the School Principal, teaching faculty and the alumni members has been garnering the attention of the students and parents of other government school who have expressed willingness to join this government school in Vellakovil.
In a bid to increase the student enrollment, the Principal of the School, Bhuvaneshwari decided to paint the classrooms and the walls in the school with fun-filled and thought-provoking paintings. As funds were inadequate, she sought the help of the alumni members of the school who are working at various places in the State.
The alumni members instantly agreed to her idea and donated funds to realise the idea to facelift the school. "The dream became a reality, as we all shared a common vision of making our school at par with private schools" said the Principal.
The wall paintings include cartoon characters like Chotta Bheem to inspiring leaders like Abdul Kalam and also pictures of maps and places from their text books.
The students were taken aback to see the new colorful look of their classrooms and expressed joy and appreciation to the Principal and the teachers.
