The mass gathering supported by The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Coimbatore) Ltd and SNR Institutions was organised on the June 21 in the premises of Sri Ramakrishna School, SNR College Road, Avarampalayam, Coimbatore.
"More than 1000 participants of all age group took part in the program guided by 300 plus student volunteers who demonstrated yoga positions. Students zealously took part in the 54 sun salutations competition and 'Artistic' yoga competition", a release said.
The guest of honour, Acharya V. Vasudevan, Senior Advisor, the Ayurvedic Trust encouraged the students with his presence and enlightening words.
Sai Nirmala, Yoga specialist, Integral Yoga Center and Swathy Rohit, Chief Business Officer, SNR Sons Charitable Trust were the Chief Guests for the day.
The event concluded by rewarding the winners of the competitions with cash prizes by AVP, Coimbatore.
