The Nilgiris : The District DMK party cadres staged a protest in Ooty on Saturday alleging the AIADMK government of handling the water crisis in a sloppy manner.
The cadres raised slogans against the State government for failing to take preventive measures ahead of the crisis. They also pointed that the government has been careless in implementing rain harvesting techniques.
Urging the State government to take responsibility for the water crisis prevailing in TN, they noted that if monsoons fail, the situation would further worsen.
Nilgiris District DMK Secretary P.M Mubarak along with 300 other party members took part.
