Coimbatore: Over 5000 participants including students and teachers from PSG Institutions participated in a yoga event to commemorate International Yoga Day - 2019.
The PSG Institutions organised the yoga event at the PSG playground, early this morning. The participants practised Pranayama, Kundalini Yoga and various other Yoga Aasanas at the event.
M Harini and M Karapaga Rajkumar (Nature and Yoga Doctors) led the students. The PSG Trustee, L Gopalakrishnan and the Founder of the PSG Trust, G R Karthikeyan celebrate the International Yoga Day with great fervour every year. The event was also led by Medical Director, Dr. J S Bhuvaneshwar (Super speciality) along with the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) L Balaji Saravanan who was the chief guest at the program. He appreciated the youngsters for taking steps to improve their health and well-being. "Practising Yoga daily drives us toward managing the change in climate, and moreover, Yoga is done to prevent illness and live a better life," he opined.
