Fever outbreak among 4th battalion Special Force Police officers

Coimbatore : Over 25 of the special police force of the 4th battalion situated in Kovaipudur who were reported to have been suffering from fever are being treated at the Coimbatore Government Hospital.


Coimbatore : Over 25 of the special police force of the 4th battalion situated in Kovaipudur who were reported to have been suffering from fever are being treated at the Coimbatore Government Hospital. 

From the past week, around 25 members out of the 300 member force, complained of fever. While 10 of the affected visited the GH for treatment on Wednesday, around 15 visited the GH today for treatment.

Out of which, Nandhakumar (24), Selvar Sundaram (28), Karuppusamy (28), Selvakumar (26), Alex (24), Manikandan (29), Deenadayalan (24) and Arivalagan (25) are being treated in the fever special ward at the GH.

Blood samples have been collected from the affected and has been sent to the lab for analysis.
