Coimbatore: Just when the Coimbatore Forest Division officials let a huge sigh of relief after the forest fire in Maruthamalai was brought under control, another forest fire broke out in the sixth hill of the Vellingiri hills here.


Coimbatore: Just when the Coimbatore Forest Division officials let a huge sigh of relief after the forest fire in Maruthamalai was brought under control, another forest fire broke out in the sixth hill of the Vellingiri hills here.

The hills that come under the Boluvampatti Forest Range caught fire around evening and started spreading fast after which a team of more than 10 foresters were sent to put it out.

Notably, the forest fire at Maruthamalai was put out by officials and volunteers of Coimbatore Wildlife and Conservation Trust after more than 10 hours.
