The senior communist leader was in the city to campaign for CPM candidate P.R. Natarajan. Addressing a large gathering at Pappanaickenpudur here, he said, "The fear whether democracy will continue to prevail has spread across the nation. BJP is the sole reason for this fear, as RSS is behind this party. RSS is the one which is against democracy. RSS instigates clash between people in the name of region, as religion based politics is their ideology".
"With India being a secular country, social, B.R. Ambedkar who drafted our constitution brought economic justice, equal rights, education and political justice in the indian constitution. The present scenario is very threatening, as BJP is aiming to demolish the constitution laid by Ambedkar", alleged the communist leader.
"Mahatma Gandhi who strived all his life to instill non-violence and harmony among religions in the nation was shot dead by whom? Mahatma Gandhi stressed on unity among Hindus and Muslims. Does BJP think the same way? To the contrary, Dalits, Muslims, Christians and women are the victims of mob lynching by BJP.", slammed D. Raja.
"India has turned into an unsafe country for women. Students, artists, journalist and others whoever criticise Modi and his ideology are being attacked even killed", he noted.
‘Corporate millionaires are the one who are benefited from the Modi regime in past 5 years. Nehru’s five year plan is the one that is behind the economy of our nation which they are planning to dissolve and planning to handover all the public sector to private companies in the name of NITI aayog. In rafale deal, Modi have given the contract to Anil Ambani without giving it to public sector companies such as HAL. Now, he is under interrogation of court. Many medium and small scale industries were closed due to demonetization. Indian economy is in crisis and no jobs were produced. All this is due to Modi regime who is ruling for the benefit of the corporates. So, secular progressive alliance should come to power in centre to protect the democracy. Tamil Nadu people should remove BJP regime in the centre and EPS regime in the state to protect Tamil Nadu. Nowadays, even AIADMK party members are not following the ideology of Jayalalitha’ he added.
‘Tamil Nadu people should thrown both BJP and AIADMK parties from the power’ he noted.
