Coimbatore : After more than ten hours of hard work, a major forest fire that broke out in the Maruthamalai Forests of Coimbatore Forest Range on Saturday, was put out by foresters around early morning on Sunday.
Coimbatore : After more than ten hours of hard work, a major forest fire that broke out in the Maruthamalai Forests of Coimbatore Forest Range on Saturday, was put out by foresters around early morning on Sunday.
The fire broke that out around evening in Maruthamalai continued to spread as the forests had already dried out.
Though officials were deployed immediately to put out the fire, it was not under control until evening. Forest fire has also been reported from the Thadagam region, which is behind Maruthamalai.
It took the officials a lot of hard work to finally put out the fire around 1.40 am on Sunday morning.
