The Apex Court has rejected the plea filed by Vedanta Group seeking an early hearing in the Sterlite Copper plant case.
Vedanta Group had filed a plea at the Supreme Court seeking an early hearing in the sterlite copper plant case pointing that the company was facing nearly a loss of Rs. 5 crore every day, due to the delay in hearing.
During the hearing on Friday, the Supreme Court ruled that it cannot intervene in the high court case. Instead advised the company to move to the Madras High Court. The apex court also warned that fine will be levied, if Vedanta files plea at Supreme Court, once again.
