Coimbatore : In view of upcoming election, 3070 polling booths have been established at 975 centres in Coimbatore District. Election Officials are taking necessary steps to ensure 100 percent voting and to make people from all walks of life to cast their votes.
Coimbatore : In view of upcoming election, 3070 polling booths have been established at 975 centres in Coimbatore District. Election Officials are taking necessary steps to ensure 100 percent voting and to make people from all walks of life to cast their votes.
In a bid to encourage the differently abled voters, the district election officers have proposed to appoint volunteers to help the 12,686 differently abled voters in the constituency to cast their votes.
"We have decided to appoint volunteers to help the differently abled people to cast their vites on April 18. The volunteers will be paid Rs. 250/- as remuneration. After receiving approval from higher authorities, necessary steps will be taken to proceed with the idea", said an election officer.
