Addressing media today at Coimbatore press club, Director Rajamurugan said, “We have started a new Youtube channel named COMRADE TALKIES, which will act as a cultural platform. Due to restrictions, we can't express everything in cinema, hence we have started this channel by bringing together musicians, drama artists and actors. Right now, we are releasing an election campaign song “Thunindhu Sel” and a short film “Kavalkaran” to create awareness among people. Jignesh Mevani and Sitaram Yechuri will be releasing this video in their twitter page".
He also added that "We will be campaigning in 4 constituencies directly where CPI and CPI(M) candidates contest. Left wing candidates stands on morality, hence one left wing candidate is equal to 50 candidates. I have respect for Viduthalai Siruthaigal candidate Ravikumar. We will campaign for Thirumavalavan in Chidambaram Constituency".
The director also noted that "I am aware of the consequences, if I support left wing candidate. But an artist’s job is beyond that, they have to raise their voice against injustice".
