Emphasising free and fair elections in the Nilgiris, the flag march was lead by DSP, Shanmugapriya in which than more than 300 security personnel including paramilitary forces, local police force and CRPF took part. The rally commenced at Charring Cross and covered all the important streets in the town and ended at the bus stand.
"We will maintain law and order during the upcoming elections, hence people should come and exercise their franchise", the DSP said.
