While campaigning at various places including Market, Main Bazaar, Commercial Road A Raja said, ‘During the time I was accused in 2G case I appeared before media and gave explanation. But PM Modi who is accused in Rafale case is hiding without facing the media. Even if we do not get majority in the lok sabha election, all the regional parties will join hands against Modi. A change in regime will occur for sure in state and centre. I proved that I’m innocent in 2G case. Likewise, Modi should prove that accusations against him are false.’
‘People should vote for me to create employment in the district, to protect Aruvankadu Cordite Factory and to transform HPF factory into hospital with latest facilities’ he added.
Senior DMK leader Trichy Siva who campaigned for A Raja in Kotagiri and Coonoor said, ‘Without any difference as rich or poor, everyone is given equal respect only during election.
So everyone should cast their votes. Modi have attended only 19 days in the lok sabha sessions of past 5 years. If Modi comes to power again only president rule will occur instead of democratic rule.’
‘Though he cannot fulfill his assurance to credit the account of every indian citizen with Rs 15 lakhs, Modi at least could have added money to the treasury. BJP can only give promises as it will do nothing to fulfill it. So people should vote to A Raja paving way for the victory of secular progressive alliance’ he added.
