Coimbatore: In a direct tirade against the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Thirumurugan Gandhi slammed the PM alleging that Rafale was the biggest military scandal since independence, which was directly overseen by Modi. "Modi has played the role of broker in the Rafale scam to benefit the Adani Group," he alleged.

Thirumurugan Gandhi, the Founder of the 'May 17 movement' was addressing the media in the city ahead of his scheduled meeting in Gandhipuram, this Saturday. "We are only here to expose the BJP-AIADMK scams. This meeting is to expose how AIADMK and BJP are exploiting the resources of the State. According to the new exploration licensing policy, any corporate company can dig and excavate any place. This has particularly been given only to Gujarat companies and not to any public sector company," he stated.

Recalling Snowlin, the girl who was shot in Tuticorin by the Police during the Sterlite protest on May 22, last year, Thirumurugan Gandhi said, "Snowlin's blood is in the money given by the AIADMK and BJP. Wherever the Hindutva organisations are dominant, crime against women and children are on the rise. There will be no elections hereafter if Modi wins, say BJP sources boldly. Modi will become the Army Chief of India and there will only be autocratic rule," slammed Thirumurugan Gandhi.

He clarified that he does not support any political party. "It is left to the conscience of people to vote. We are here to expose the scams of BJP and AIADMK, not to point to the people to vote toward any party," he added.

He further threw light on a new scandal regarding demonetisation. "Three lakh crore money was printed in Dubai under Amit Shah's banner and brought to India before demonetisation. The black money was given to corporates and exchanged, and distributed. Any section of the media that was trying to expose this scam was halted in its tracks. 15 to 40 percent commission was taken by Amit Shah. Even before the RBI could print, this printing was done in Dubai, and that too with Urjit Patel's signature when in actuality Raghuram Rajan was the RBI Governor. The magnitude of this 3 lakh crore scam is huge. This is a clear indication that only to exchange the black money of corporates, this 'demonetisation' was introduced. This 3 lakh crore scam will affect the economy and democracy of the country," alleged Thirumurugan Gandhi.

"Coimbatore is an industrial city but its economy was destroyed. We are constantly being denied permission to conduct meetings in the Kongu region. We had to approach the Court for permission and now with their permission, we plan to go ahead with the meeting on April 13," he categorically announced.
