Tirupur : CPI(M) National General Secretary, Sitaram Yechury campaigned supporting Subbarayan (CPI) Tirupur electoral candidate of Secular Progressive Alliance.
Addressing the gathering, the senior CPI (M) leader questioned, “Modi is asking to vote BJP to restore stable government but what did Modi do when there was a stable government in the centre for the past 5 years? Modi failed to fulfil the promises he gave to the people.”

“Moreover, Modi is calling himself as Chowkidhar for India. He boasts ownership for the achievements of space astronauts and claims himself as astronaut’s Chowkidhar; Chowkidhar for this Universe and more. Let him be Chowkidhar for foreign countries and other Planets, not India", he slammed.
“In the past five years, assaults on Dalits and minority people have increased to a great extent. In the name of cow protection, BJP has staged several atrocities in the nation. Sexual assaults on children and women is at the highest. The government has failed to address the issue", the Communist leader alleged.

"The election results on May 23 will bring double happiness to the people of Tamil Nadu, as Modi’s government will be thrown out in the Centre and at the same time, AIADMK’s regime will come to an end after by-elections in TN", he noted.
