Coimbatore : In a media briefing at the Coimbatore Press Club, Pongalur R Manikandan, Paattali Makkal Katchi's (PMK) State Deputy leader announced, "I am going to withdraw myself from PMK party's responsibilities, including basic membership. I joined the party believing in the Founder Ramadoss' promise that the party is as an alternate to Dravidian parties and also that Anbumani Ramadoss will be able to get rid of Dravidian parties from its roots. But Ramadoss deceived us by having an alliance with them.

After slamming the AIADMK and the Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy, resorting to a coalition with them now is a disappointment. The party made a bargain for coalition and now the AIADMK–PMK is a bargain coalition. Bargain culture in Tamil Nadu started only after Ramadoss entered politics," he slammed the PMK Chief.

"Even though the party cadres accepted the AIADMK coalition, people have not accepted. A huge amount has been exchanged for this coalition. People are spitting on this coalition.

Education Minister Anbazhagan and Anbumani Ramadoss who criticized each other are now jointly asking for votes which is unacceptable. This coalition will definitely face defeat. They are saying that the coalition was formed after discussion with the party members which is an utter lie.

PMK is a family party and Anbumani does not have any competence to criticize about DMK and AIADMK. He is not a good administrator nor will he respect other members. He is speaking ruthlessly boasting that they will conquer the polling booths," alleged Pongalur R Manikandan.

In an all-out tirade against various TN political leaders, Ponagalur R Manikandan said, "G K Mani and Dhanraj are cheating PMK and Ramadoss. “Kaduvetti” Guru who belongs to Vanniyar caste dedicated his entire life for the party but PMK did not care for Guru’s family who are in debt now.

Also, PMK snatched money from the SRM owner, Parivendhan by threatening him. Sasikala is the one who made Edappadi Palaniswamy as Chief Minister and he is a traitor. TTV Dinakaran, without any compromise is contesting elections in all 40 constituencies boldly."

"PMK is the only party which was against forming “Vanniyar Nala Variyam” (Vanniyar Welfare Board). Now, PMK is collecting money from TASMAC due to insufficient funds. The leadership did not give any importance to PMK’s Dindigul constituency candidate.

Ramadoss thinks that it is enough if his son wins the election, but not concerned about others in the party winning the election. Hence, I am withdrawing myself from the party to put a full stop to Ramadoss' family exploiting the Vanniyar community. Joining PMK was a historic blunder, and now I am resigning from the party," he stated, emphatically.
