The Nilgiris: A school boy died on the spot after he came into contact with a live electric wire on the balcony of his house where he was reportedly playing.
According to reports, Sasi Kumar (45) and his wife Vaidhegi are residents of Othanatti village near Coonoor. Their two sons Pravin (14) and Navin (8) study in a private school, here.

Navin who was studying in Class 3 was playing in the balcony of his house when an electric wire running through the balcony reportedly grazed his neck. Pravin was electrocuted and died on the spot.

Pravin's body was reportedly hanging for nearly an hour on the electric wire until villagers passing by noticed the child's body clung to the wire and informed the Electricity Board. Police rushed to the spot and retrieved the body which has been sent for post-mortem.
