Ex-CRPF personnel's guns seized by police in Peelamedu

Coimbatore : More than 2000 police personnel and special security forces has been deployed in the city, ahead of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's arrival in the city, this evening. Police have tightened the security in the surrounding areas from the airport to CODISSIA and also in and around Peelamedu.

Police have tightened the security in the surrounding areas from the airport to CODISSIA and also in and around Peelamedu.

The police seized two guns during the night raids at RVR lodge in Peelamedu's GKT Nagar. It was found that the guns belonged to Dharanidharan, who was an ex- CRPF personnel, currently working in a private security firm. He had a pistol and a revolver for which he had license. The police then returned the guns to him.
