Posters were struck on doors, workplaces and electric poles addressing to both AIADMK-BJP alliance and also the DMK led secular progressive alliance to refrain from knocking their doors for votes during the upcoming Parliamentary elections.
As the Communists did not act in favour of Ayyappa devotees in the Sabarimala issue, a group of residents have expressed their anger by asking the DMK-Communist alliance to not seek votes in their street.
While another group of people struck posters at knitting units asking the BJP-AIADMK alliance to not approach them during campaign. They had pointed that GST, demonetisation introduced by the BJP government had caused enormous strain on the economy.
The people also accused the AIADMK government for their inaction in Pollachi sexual abuse case and lack of security for women and children in the State.
In Tirupur parliamentary constituency, Former Minister MSM Anandhan has been fielded as the AIADMK candidate and Subburayan of CPI has been fielded as candidate in DMK alliance.
Meanwhile, such appeal posters asking the parties to refrain from campaigning in their area has created flutter among political parties.
