A European start-up, UNIspotter has raised funds up to Rs.38,500 to buy books, sports equipment and stationery for Jayalayam, a school in Tanjore that was devastated by the Gaja Cyclone.
A European start-up, UNIspotter has raised funds up to Rs.38,500 to buy books, sports equipment and stationery for Jayalayam, a school in Tanjore that was devastated by the Gaja Cyclone.
‘Shaping a Better Tomorrow’ is one of the core values of UNIspotter and has remained a priority for their entry into the Indian market. The company recently partnered with KCT to sponsor the Yugam Festival. At the festival, the company held a workshop on studying abroad, finding the right university, improving applications, financing studies and tailoring CVs for international jobs. The ticket proceeds from this workshop went directly toward rebuilding a school damaged by the Gaja Cyclone last year.
The principal, teachers and students of the school were overwhelmed at receiving the donation. “Thank you so much. We really needed these things and your contribution will go a long way in rebuilding our school,” said the School Principal. The students were thrilled with the gifts and spent the afternoon playing with the UNIspotter team members from Australia, UK and Austria.
