To prevent the outbreak of fire outbreak, the Forest Department draws fire prevention lines on both sides of roads at Siriyur, Segoor, Masinagudi and Singara for 6 km, every year. Tourists are also advised to refrain from smoking and using inflammable materials. Artificial wells are also constructed and filled with water for animals during the summer season.
